The BROWNIES, CUBS AND SCOUTS are still carrying out MONTHLY NEWSPAPER COLLECTIONS through Darley on the FIRST SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH.  PLEASE, PLEASE save your papers for us!  All you have to do is put all your newspapers, magazines (excluding any plastic wrappers please) or directories into carrier bags and leave them by your gate BEFORE 10 AM and we will do the rest.  Collections are made along Darley Main Street, Silverdale Close, Nidd Drive, Valley Road, Meadow Lane and Stocks Lane.  Alternatively you can leave your papers outside Christ Church Community Centre (on the roadside please) and we will collect them from there (only on collection days please and before 10 am!).

Since the Council introduced the Roadside Recycling Scheme we have noticed a real decline in the number of papers being left for us.  WE REALLY DO NEED YOUR HELP!  Not only do we sell the papers but we also get a very worthwhile grant from the Council for doing these collections.  Collection dates for 2010 are 6 Feb, 6 Mar, 3 Apr, 1 May, 5 June, 3 July, 7 August, 4 Sept, 2 Oct, 6 Nov, 4 Dec.
